Nightingale is set to become a new survival game on Steam, where players can traverse portals, defeat mystical creatures, and build bases. We will show you everything you need to know about the release, gameplay, and the price.
What is Nightingale? Nightingale is an open-world survival game from the developers “Inflexion Games”, which can be played solo or cooperatively with friends. Here, you take on the role of a Realmwalker, who can step through mystical portals and explore new areas of the Fae.
On journeys across the world of the Fae, you can come across new areas, claim them for yourself and build a base on them. If hostile creatures disagree with this, you can defend yourself with melee and ranged weapons and even cast spells.
Now we will go into detail and show you everything you need to know about Nightingale before the release.
Nightingale: Release – How long do you have to wait
When does Nightingale start? The survival game will initially enter early access and so far only on Steam and Epic Games. The release was supposed to start on February 22, 2024, but has been brought forward by the developers to February 20, 2024.
Will Nightingale come to PS5 and Xbox? So far, Nightingale will only be released for PC. Whether consoles will follow at a later date is unknown, but cannot be completely ruled out.
How long will Nightingale stay in early access? The developers are aiming for an early access duration of between 9 to 12 months. However, depending on how the feedback turns out, it could be longer or shorter.
Nightingale: This is how the gameplay of the survival game works
How is it played? Nightingale starts with you creating your Realmwalker. In a detailed character creator, you will first forge your explorer and can start with a personalized appearance.
Here is another detailed video about the gameplay of Nightingale:
Once you have created your character, you have the following options available:
- You can hunt smaller and larger animals
- Track down bosses and defeat them in your area
- Build a base to your liking
- Explore your area and discover mysteries
- Craft, upgrade equipment or improve your magic
- Step through new portals and discover more biomes
- Mine materials and loot items
There is also no PvP in Nightingale, so you don’t have to worry in co-op that a player will intentionally defeat you to take your loot. You can peacefully explore the wonderful world of the Fae and focus on progress.
If you don’t like future portals and areas, you can also design a destination to your liking with realm cards. This way, you can customize the biome, enemies, and materials so that you end up in an area you desire.
Nightingale: Prices and editions at a glance
How much will Nightingale cost? There is officially no price for Nightingale yet, but fans on Reddit estimate the price to be $29.99. If the game aims for its full release in the future, “early access” players could also be charged again, as the developers are considering a possible surcharge. However, nothing is set in stone yet (via steam.com).
These were all the important updates about the release of Nightingale so far. If more information is released in the future regarding the release of the console version or new features, we will update our post.
