Nick Offerman, who played the character Bill in the HBO series “The Last of Us,” revealed that there are plans for a spin-off of the well-known video game adaptation and that these have already been pitched.
As actor Nick Offerman told Comic Book, there are already concrete ideas for a sequel to the hit series The Last of Us, which have also been presented to the showrunners.
The spin-off could delve deeper into the story of two characters whom we already met in an emotional episode of the series:
Bill and Frank, whose touching love story in episode 3 melted the hearts of many fans.

“We are not lacking in ideas”
Nick Offerman disclosed that there are ideas for a miniseries centered around the characters Bill (Nick Offerman) and Frank (Murray Bartlett).
This is supposed to take place before the events of The Last of Us. The prequel would therefore shed more light on the beginnings of the zombie epidemic and tell more about the lives of the two characters before their first meeting.
Nick Offerman then joked that the spin-off could also become a musical if the two showrunners Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann would like it that way.
He further stated that it is now in the hands of the producers to decide how to proceed with the project:
“We are not lacking in ideas. We will just see what Craig [Mazin] and Neil [Druckmann] come up with.” (Source: Comic Book)

When and if the prequel will actually come is still uncertain. However, if it actually gets the green light for the series, Offerman would definitely be interested in stepping back into the role of Bill.
