A Korean visited MMO giant Nexon: He crashed into the headquarters with a car… so “into” the headquarters.
According to the Korea Herald, a 33-year-old Chinese man crashed into Nexon’s control center in a car at 7 AM local time on Sunday morning. He claims that the game company has “destroyed his life.”
The impact of the car shattered the glass entrance door of the company’s headquarters, but there were no injuries or fatalities.
Game company has destroyed his life, he says
The 33-year-old apparently has some issues. He tested above the legal alcohol limit. In South Korea, the Chinese man is only on a visitor visa, does not have a driver’s license, and the car belongs to his brother.
According to police reports, he committed the act because he was “addicted to Nexon games.” Which specific games were not disclosed. Nexon publishes MMOs such as Atlantica Online, Vindictus, or Maple Story. The man claims to have lost control and followed an impulse.
In Korea, online gaming addiction is an even more serious issue than in our countries.
