The past week has been dominated by the release of the new MMO New World. Additionally, there were some exciting gaming news revolving around money. Find out all about it in our MeinMMO podcast.
These are our topics: After several delays, the MMO New World finally launched on September 28. It immediately climbed into the top 3 of the Steam charts, and the servers were overwhelmed by players, forcing Amazon to release new servers.
With Diablo 2: Resurrected, which also recently launched, trading has already escalated. The first items are already being sold on eBay for over €100. Meanwhile, NC Soft is facing a grim financial situation. They have lost much of their brand value, dropping from $18 billion to “only” $10.2 billion.
There has been more news in the dispute between Apple and Epic. After the court proceedings ended, Fortnite was removed from the App Store. However, streamer Tyler1 celebrated a victory, briefly becoming the official profile picture of LoL.
