In New World, housing plays an important role. Houses serve as fast travel points that can be used for free and provide buffs for players through trophies. But where should you build your first house? And where the others? We at MeinMMO will tell you.
Where should you buy your first house? The best areas for the first house are Windkreis or Immerfall. They are very central, which makes them particularly useful as teleport points. They used to be the best spots for trading, but the auction houses are now global since patch 1.1, so you don’t have to worry about that anymore.
For several reasons, we recommend Windkreis for the first house:
- There you will find the best spot for leveling harvesting
- You have a relatively short distance to the first two dungeons
- You can quickly reach the endgame area Brackwasser
- You cover the southern part of the map well
Although teleport costs are not as significant anymore as they were at release, you can also travel to houses from anywhere, which is a big advantage.

The second house to cover the middle, house 3 in the endgame area
Where should I buy the second house? For the second house, Lichtholz or Webermoor are the best choices. This way, you cover the middle well and have short distances to the endgame areas.
We recommend Webermoor, as you can quickly get to Edenhain from here and also cover the third dungeon well. Additionally, there is a lot of oil in Webermoor, making farming easier.
Where should I buy the third house? Here there are also two spots: Either you buy a house in Ebenmaß or in Brackwasser. We recommend Ebenmaß especially if you bought your house 2 in Webermoor beforehand and like to do the farming and portal runs in this area. In Ebenmaß, there are plenty of endgame contents that players frequently run.
If you already have your house in Lichtholz, you will have a relatively short distance to Ebenmaß. Then a house in Brackwasser might be worth it. Here you have access to the dungeon Lazarus Instrument and several endgame runs like Sirens.
Where should the teleport point go? You set the teleport point in the inn at the end in Bruchberg. This way you have covered the whole map well according to our plan and have the teleport points such that you never have to walk more than one area on foot to reach everything on the map.
