Here’s what it’s about: After a long wait and many delays, the first closed beta for the MMO New World launched on July 20. Players could either apply for a key or pre-order New World. It included a free key with the pre-order.
New World offers:
- 3 playable factions
- A classless system where your armor and weapons play an important role
- Quests and events in the open world
- A crafting system that is very important, as you need to craft your own equipment
- A housing system
- 50v50 PvP wars
- A lore that is told in the open world.
Right at launch, the MMO’s servers were overwhelmed. There were incredibly long queues that could last up to 7 hours. As a result, the game landed on 3rd place in the Steam charts with over 180,000 players.
By now, the situation has calmed down, and many players have already gathered their first impressions from the beta, which they shared on reddit and social media.
