During the week of October 4 to 10, much was again about New World. But Guild Wars 2, Lord of the Rings Online, and WoW also made headlines. We from MeinMMO summarize all the important MMORPG news of the week for you.
The highlight of the week: New World is still extremely present. However, more and more complaints about the game are also emerging:
- Apparently, players are being falsely reported so that they are temporarily banned and cannot participate in wars.
- In general, there are currently discussions about endgame PvP and that players are almost being forced into a large guild.
- The “Untrusted System File” error occurred after a new update.
- First bots are taking over fishing spots.
- MeinMMO editor Alexander Leitsch also believes that New World makes too many mistakes in the social aspects.
The scandal of the week: In Guild Wars 2, over 80 accounts were banned, including well-known PvP faces. All of them are said to have cheated in tournaments.
The discussion of the week: In New World, a guild leader stole from his guild and then switched to the enemy faction. Over 100 comments discussed whether the behavior is acceptable or should be punished by Amazon.

Lord of the Rings Online gets a new class, Fractured is free to play
This week in the big MMORPGs:
- In WoW, more jokes and popular flirt lines were removed. There was also a server maintenance that frustrated raiders.
- Guild Wars 2 showcased the first new areas of the End of Dragons expansion in a video. The Halloween festival is also currently running, which will continue until November. We have created a guide on how to farm gold quickly during Halloween.

- In Lord of the Rings Online, the new class Brawler was officially announced for October 13.
- A new free-to-play MMORPG launched on Steam on October 5 and is receiving good reviews.
- In Blade & Soul, the Halloween event has started (via Blade&Soul).
- Aion has released the new patch 8.0 (via Gameforge).
- Swords of Legends Online is 20% cheaper until October 11 (via Steam).
This week in MMORPGs in development:
- For 2022, a new MMORPG was introduced, which aims to be a mix of Sims and Stardew Valley.
- The sandbox MMORPG Fractured allows you to play the alpha for free until October 13. We previously tried and presented Fractured back in 2020.
- The upcoming Asia MMORPG Elyon has released its soundtrack on YouTube (via YouTube).
- Lineage 2M, which was a massive success in Korea, will start Closed Beta for the West in November (via MMORPG.org.pl)
