On October 20, New World will deploy a new patch. The servers were already taken offline at 7:00 AM. We at MeinMMO will reveal how long the maintenance will last and how long the servers will be down. We will also keep you updated in this article if the maintenance is extended.
Update 11:15 AM: The servers are partially online again, making the maintenance even shorter than originally planned. You can find out how the free character transfer in New World continues here.
What is happening in New World? A new patch 1.0.3 is being deployed. This brings an important fix for the Azoth staff and finally the server transfers.
However, all servers in the EU, US-East, and Australia were taken offline for maintenance. Anyone wanting to play can initially enjoy themselves on the US-West server. The servers there are expected to go offline at 8:00 AM, giving you another hour of gameplay.
How long will the maintenance last? The maintenance is planned for 5 hours. The servers are expected to be back online around 12:00 PM. This was reported by Community Manager Luxendra in the New World forum.
However, in the last two updates, there were significant delays. On October 6, the maintenance lasted 3 hours longer than planned, and on October 13, it even lasted almost 6 hours longer.
We will continuously update this article if there is an extension of the maintenance.
What can I do in the meantime while the servers are offline? If you want to pass the time until the maintenance is over, we have put together some tips for you:
