In New World, a glitch is currently making the rounds, allowing players to become invulnerable. It doesn’t even require an external program, just the windowed version of the game. Amazon has already commented on the glitch.
What kind of glitch is it? With a relatively simple trick, players can make themselves invulnerable, as long as they are not actively playing in the window of New World.
This is primarily used in the wars for territories to defend capture points. Even though the player cannot defend themselves, it is impossible for attackers to capture the point and thereby attack the fortress.
YouTuber Kona highlighted the glitch in a video:
What do the developers say? In the forum, the community manager Mugsy stated that the developers are already aware of the glitch.
However, there is no statement on when the exploit will be fixed. A possible date could be Wednesday when the regular maintenance of the game takes place.
Hello CInetrix, the team is aware of the problem and its effects. Thank you for suggesting that wars be disabled. The team is reviewing the issue and possible solutions. I understand that this is stressful, but please be patient while the team addresses this issue.

Players are surprised by the simplicity of the glitch
How are players reacting? On Reddit and under the YouTube video, many reactions from players are accumulating, who are especially impressed by how easy it is to implement the glitch. They wonder why the developers didn’t spot this problem earlier.
They are also demanding that the developers disable the wars until the issue is resolved.
- Spacedude comments under the video: “Thanks for pointing out the issue. I definitely won’t participate in any wars now. I’m sure people on my server will exploit this too. This needs to be fixed as soon as possible.”
- Charlie writes: “I just tested it and it works. This is completely game-breaking.”
Can something be done against the glitch? Yes, several players report that while players are invulnerable, they can still be hit. So theoretically, they can be thrown off the point to still capture it.
