CPU and GPU utilization of almost 100% only through New World
What are the players criticizing? The reddit thread titled “My CPU has become suicidal” reports user AbuckB22 stating that the usage of his CPU in the queue of New World is said to be 100%. In addition, the temperature reportedly rises to over 100 degrees Celsius (via reddit).
However, he is not alone with this problem. Users Sunlitt (via reddit) and ignorantmuslim (via reddit) have each pointed out in their posts that the temperatures of their CPU and GPU are dangerously rising due to New World:

I am experiencing crazy high temperatures and usage both on the GPU and CPU with the RTX 2060. I limit my FPS to 15 with Afterburner until the queue ends. Is there a different solution for this?

Also in our own tests, it is noticeable that New World has very high consumption, and the GPU was utilized up to 98% (in the test, an Nvidia GTX 1070). However, we had fewer problems with the CPU (i7 4th generation):

Can anything be done about the problems? On reddit, many users recommend limiting the number of FPS to 30 or 60. In fact, limiting to 30 FPS has led to our test showing a GPU load of about 50%. Also, generally lowering the graphics reduces the overall load.
However, whether these tips help with CPU-related problems has not been confirmed yet. Despite limiting the FPS, users on reddit report that CPU usage is pushing towards 100%.
