On October 28, maintenance is scheduled in New World. The servers will be down for a few hours to install the new patch 1.0.4. We will show you here how long the server maintenance will last.
What is the server status of New World? On the morning of October 28, planned maintenance started in New World. The developers shut down servers to implement important updates and fixes. Among other things, the server transfer is coming back, allowing you to transfer your characters again.
However, the servers are down first. The planned maintenance time is as follows:
- Maintenance in New World started around 07:00 AM German time
- If everything goes according to plan, the downtime is expected to last until 11:00 AM and the servers will then be brought back up
- At 11:00 AM, the first servers should then be able to use character transfers and the Outpost Rush mode

What does the server downtime bring with patch 1.0.4?
What’s in the patch: During the time until 11:00 AM, the new update will be installed. You can look forward to some changes and fixes, as Amazon is said to have resolved several glitches related to invulnerable players. We recently reported on a game-breaking glitch that made players invulnerable with the window version of New World.
Other highlights include:
- An increase in the faction mark limit
- The effect of the life staff will be enhanced
- Server transfers are coming back
- Outpost Rush will be reactivated

When will transfers and Outpost Rush come? There is a release schedule for both contents:
- If everything goes according to plan, server transfers will initially be activated for US West after the maintenance. The rest of the regions should receive the feature by 11:00 PM if there are no issues in US West
- Outpost Rush is expected to be activated first for the South America region at 11:00 AM. On October 29 at 04:00 AM, the PvP mode should then also be activated in Europe.
