The MMO New World can be enjoyed even on lower-end PCs, as the graphics still look really good at low details. This is shown to you in a video of the game.

How are the differences? What immediately stands out is that the graphics do not seem to differ so drastically at first glance. The MMORPG Black Desert Online, on the other hand, seems almost like a different game when lowering the graphics from Ultra to Low. This is not the case with New World. The graphics were already praised by players during the alpha.
Of course, some differences are noticeable, but they are not really significant.
- Visibility is higher at “Very High”. You can see more objects, details, and more lights in the distance.
- The textures are more detailed. There is more structure visible on surfaces like cobblestones on the ground.
- The shadows are more detailed and have a more intense effect, for example on plants.
- The lighting appears a bit more cohesive and atmospheric.
What is the advantage of low settings? As the videos show, New World runs smoother when you lower the graphics settings. Depending on the situation, this can make a difference of between 10 and 30 FPS.
Since the graphics do not look extremely worse when you dial down the details a bit, this is a good way to squeeze a bit more performance out of the MMO. If it stutters for you, just try lower settings.
Are the differences noticeable? Those who look closely will notice that the textures are less detailed and that there are more details visible in the distance. Whether this bothers you is something everyone has to decide for themselves. However, the videos show that New World still looks good even with low graphics settings.
