Amazon Games announces the largest update for New World since the MMORPG’s release. Unfortunately, there were issues and the update has been postponed indefinitely.
It was originally scheduled to be released yesterday afternoon (March 29, 2022). At 2 PM the servers were supposed to go offline, and then at 4 PM the update was expected to be available.
Around 11 AM, the announcement was made that the update needed to be postponed by one day. The reason is a late-found bug that must be fixed before the release.
Original message: When will the update arrive? Tomorrow, March 30, 2022, you can look forward to the largest “New World” update since the MMORPG’s release. This one is titled Heart of the Madness and will be available in the afternoon.
The update is now set for Wednesday morning. A specific time is currently not known, but based on the originally scheduled release time, a downtime of the servers of two hours before the release of the update is conceivable.
However, it should be noted that the announcement was made by the English-language Twitter account. This means that a delayed release due to different time zones is a possibility.

“Heart of the Madness” brings a gripping dungeon and new weapons
This is what the update brings: The largest “New World” update since release brings numerous new contents. In addition to the content expansion for the main story and the dungeon “Heart of the Stormwinds,” which deepens Isabella’s story, there will also be a new weapon called “Thunder gun.”

What is the update about? The “Heart of the Madness” update continues the main story of New World. You follow Isabella on the path to Shattered Mountain and hunt her down. In the depths of the new dungeon “Heart of the Stormwinds,” you face the antagonist in a final showdown.
The new weapon Thunder gun is meanwhile a ranged weapon with strong damage at close to medium distance. You can choose between two playstyles determined by the “Weapon mastery tree.”
The choice is between the tree called “Containment,” which prioritizes close-range fights, and the Chaos tree. The latter is designed to keep distance from the opponents.

Things had been quite quiet around New World for several months. After the massive influx at the release of the MMORPG, months of silence followed. In February 2022, Lost Ark made it clear how much interest there is in MMORPGs and how important sufficient amounts of (endgame) content are.
With Heart of the Madness, the largest expansion for New World is now released. But the question is how much interest players have in New World after all these months.
