Adderstone is a coveted resource in New World, which can be found in various forms – as chunks, boulders, or shards. We at MeinMMO will tell you where to get Adderstone and what you can do with the material.
Where can you get Adderstone?
- Adderstone chunks can be found as a random drop when mining stone
- Adderstone shards can also be found as a random drop when mining stone
- Adderstone boulders can be obtained as a random drop when mining magnetite
You may also get chunks and shards when mining magnetite. However, this has not been the case for us yet. Alternatively, you can buy Adderstones at the trading post. But this can get very expensive.
Because in general, all three resources are very rare and also highly sought after. Adderstone chunks are currently traded for up to 1,800 coins on Ravenal. Adderstone boulders are not available at all right now.
You can find stones for the chunks and shards in the open world like sand on the beach, magnetite is most commonly found in Everfall and the Great Chasm:
At what level can Adderstone be found? Chunks and shards can apparently be obtained at mining level 1. For the boulders, you need level 105 for magnetite. From level 155, magnetite will be displayed on the compass.
What is Adderstone used for? Adderstone is one of the resources that you can use for bonus effects when crafting:
- Adderstone chunks provide a chance for your bags to carry 50% more weight.
- Adderstone boulders increase the chance of rare items when opening chests and looting monsters and can be used for armor.
- Adderstone shards increase the chance of finding rare materials while mining and also fit on armor items.
