In New World, inventory weight plays a big role. Only those with large bags can take home a lot of loot. In this guide, we reveal how to craft bags and where to get a few bags for free.
How to craft bags? To craft the bags, you need the profession Armorsmith. For the first tier – the Adventurer’s Satchel (Rough Leather) – you do not need any special skill in the profession. The crafting costs:
- 45x Rough Leather
- 25x Linen
- 10x Iron Ingots
- 1x Minor Rune of Holding
The Rune of Holding can be obtained at any level from your faction vendor or in the trading post from other players. The bag gives you +100 to +120 kilograms of inventory weight.
For the further bags you need:
- Tier 2 (Coarse Leather): 45x Coarse Leather, 25x Linen, 10x Iron Ingots, 1x Large Rune of Holding. You get +150 to +180 kilograms of inventory weight.
- Tier 3 (Layered Leather): 45x Layered Leather, 25x Linen, 10x Iron Ingots, 1x Size Rune of Holding. You get +225 to +265 kilograms of inventory weight.
- Tier 4 (Refined Leather): 45x Refined Leather, 25x Linen, 10x Iron Ingots, 1x Grand Rune of Holding. You get +300 to +360 kilograms of weight.
Each bag can also have an item added during crafting, which unlocks special effects. These include reduced weight from potions or collected materials, as well as bonus weight. For the bonus weight, you need to add Natterstein pieces during crafting. More on the effects can be found further down.
Are there alternative ways to get bags? Yes, you can also buy them directly in the trading post for gold. Additionally, there are certain quests that grant you bags.
