The Outpost Rush aims to provide a home for all PvP fans who cannot participate in the wars for territories in New World. But the mode was disabled a few days after release due to bugs. Now it should actually return, but it is already shut down again after just a few hours.
What exactly happened? On Saturday, October 23, Community Manager Luxendra announced in the forum that the Outpost Rush can be played again. This mode was originally disabled in early October because of some bugs.
These “critical errors” were said to have been fixed by Luxendra, which is why the PvP mode could be used again.
But the joy about the mode lasted only a few hours. Because on the same day, the Outpost Rush was disabled again.
As CM Tosch reported, errors occurred again:
Hello everyone,
sorry that it took a bit longer to give you an update.
We made the Outpost Rush available for a few hours last night. Unfortunately, there were again some issues that prevented players from having a good gaming experience in the Outpost Rush. Therefore, we decided to disable the mode again. The Outpost Rush will return once the issues for the affected players are resolved.
We apologize for the inconveniences and thank you for your patience and understanding.

What are the problems? On reddit, some players shared their experiences with the PvP mode. They noticed the following issues:
- The UI was completely gone after joining the mode.
- Some players were not flagged for PvP in the match, making them invulnerable to both sides.
- There were bugs with summoned creatures.
- Some players could not leave the Outpost Rush after the game ended. Their character was permanently trapped in it.
However, there are numerous reports of how successful the mode is and how important it will be in the endgame of New World.
Outpost Rush brings fun – and a lot of money
What makes the mode so interesting? The Outpost Rush is a PvP mode that can be entered anytime through the faction NPC once you reach level 60. Therefore, you do not have to wait for wars in the area or specifically look for a group with other players.
In this mode, two groups of 20 players each fight against each other. They battle over outposts, conquest points, and can venture out to gather materials to strengthen their outposts.
Additionally, there are plenty of side tasks, like bosses that can be defeated for buffs, or the Corrupted, which can be deliberately unleashed on the enemy.
Why is the mode so well received? The Outpost Rush is a mix of PvP and PvE, offers similarly intense battles as in the wars, and above all, brings in a lot of cash. Many players therefore consider the mode to be the best endgame content currently available in New World.
- Winners receive up to 450 coins (depending on their position on the scoreboard), Azoth, and a gear crate
- Losers receive up to 350 coins, slightly less Azoth, and also a gear crate
These large sums of coins are important, because there is currently a kind of economic crisis in New World. There are too few sources to earn good coins, which in turn drives prices down in all areas.
The Outpost Rush could counteract that.
When will the Outpost Rush return? The PvP mode will only be reactivated once all errors have been fixed. When exactly that will be the case is currently unknown.
