Technical problems have been part of the game since the release of New World. However, for a few weeks now, there have been Fresh Start servers that should smooth out the errors of the past. Unfortunately, the same issues as before have arisen.
What’s going on in New World? Currently, all trading functions in the MMORPG New World have been disabled again due to an exploit that made it possible to create items and thus gold out of thin air.
This is not the first time this has happened in New World, but this time it’s particularly frustrating. While these issues were previously all relatively distant, this time it also affects the new Fresh Start servers.
These servers were set up to allow for a real fresh start. Fans cannot transfer from existing servers to the fresh ones. Thus, any illegitimately generated gold from the past had no way of entering the new worlds.
How is Amazon responding? To counter the exploit, the developers have disabled all trading. According to their statements, the error was noticed very early and hardly anyone had found and used it. Therefore, damage has been minimal.
In the meantime, Amazon is working on a fix for the issue to bring trading back online as soon as possible. When that will happen is not clear. Currently, the function has been disabled for 16 hours (via New World, as of 8.12. 12:45 PM)

How are the fans reacting? Primarily with a lot of humor and little concern. Unfortunately, this is not the first time they have faced such a situation. Many mockingly winkle that perhaps the Fresh Start servers weren’t needed at all.
Many are jokingly calling for new Fresh Start servers, but probably nobody is seriously advocating for that.
More serious concerns come from players who currently have open offers in the trading post, as Amazon has not yet commented on what will happen to these offers.
Despite this, the mood among players is not too bad.
