The MMORPG New World is continuously improving with the latest updates. Now the developers are fulfilling one of the biggest fan wishes and bringing Fresh-Start servers. We at MeinMMO have everything you need to know.
What exactly are Fresh-Start servers? The new servers are new regions where all players must start completely from scratch. They differ from other servers in that existing accounts and characters cannot be transferred to them.
In the past, there have always been new servers in the MMORPG where players had the chance to start afresh – but only for the players themselves. Other fans could simply transfer with a fully developed character and a heap of gold from another server.
This is precisely what is not possible on the Fresh-Start servers. Here, everyone must start from the very beginning and cannot bring anything from an already existing server.
When does it start? The developers want to focus first on ensuring that the new update Brimstone Sands, which goes live on October 18, runs smoothly. Right after that, the team wants to work on the Fresh-Start servers.
These are expected to start on November 2 and give all fans the opportunity to start anew and balanced in Aeternum.

Amazon responds directly to fan wishes
Why do people want a Fresh Start? Since the launch of New World, the MMORPG has repeatedly struggled with bugs. Especially in the early days of the game, there were many problems that allowed players to double their gold or gain advantages in other ways.
Additionally, there have been many bots in New World farming gold and other materials continuously. Although countless accounts have been banned by the operator Amazon, the existing gold that shouldn’t be there has significantly harmed the in-game economy.
Simply launching new servers helped little, as wealthy players could just transfer their accounts and thus bring far too much gold into the economic cycle of the new servers.
Fans have been waiting a long time: The announcement of the massive update Brimstone Sands was also overshadowed by the calls for a Fresh Start. People even went so far as to say that they would love to return, but doing so without the opportunity for a fresh start would be nearly impossible.
Such statements have existed for a long time in the communities around New World. Shortly after the launch, some people were already calling for a Fresh Start on Reddit and in forums. The idea gained so much traction that even the head of Path of Exile advised the developers on exactly that.
Will it work? Currently, New World can practically win back more fans every month and attract new players. The announced Fresh-Start servers are unlikely to hinder this trend but may even accelerate it.
