New World has finally released the roadmap for 2022. Planned are the release of PvP arenas, two new expeditions, and the first new area. We at MeinMMO summarize everything important for you.
What does the roadmap show? The roadmap reveals what new content is set to be released in spring, summer, and autumn 2022.
Highlights include:
- The 3v3 PvP arenas and new PvP rewards, which are expected to appear in spring.
- An automatic party finder for dungeons and a new dungeon in summer.
- The first new area and the greatsword in autumn.
- Various events, including a summer event and something for Halloween.
The developers also revealed that many minor adjustments will be included in the various content patches, such as access to the different storage from all cities.
You can check out the complete roadmap in this tweet:
PvP Arenas are expected in April
When will the next content be released? A major update is planned for March, which will bring a new dungeon and the weapon Thunderbuss. Small details have also been mentioned:
- In the future, no ammunition will be needed for weapons like the bow or the musket.
- Only one person needs to stand at the entrance of a dungeon.
- Items in the inventory that are not equipped will no longer be damaged upon death.
We have already previewed this update and shared our assessment:
Presumably, the first PvP arenas will appear in April, as they are still planned for spring. They will also bring new rewards for PvP players. A ranking system for PvP and PvE, however, is only planned for autumn.
