During the week of November 8 to 14, there were some positive news for fans of New World and WoW. Both provided insights into the new updates. Additionally, there were some interesting announcements. We at MeinMMO summarize all the important news for you.
The highlight of the week: New World finally receives its first major patch:
- It brings a new weapon, new enemies, and new quests
- In addition, there will be a speed boost on roads
- It is already playable on the PTR
- Dataminers have already found some new features on the PTR
- The release is already planned for next week
The controversy of the week: WoW has announced the new patch 9.2. However, the update is receiving a lot of mockery and scorn, especially because Blizzard aims to finish a story that began with Warcraft 3. More about this here: WoW players on patch 9.2: “A joke you can tell yourselves”.
The discussion of the week: New World has struggled with many problems. However, the recent updates have brought improvements. Some players say now is a good time to return to the game:

What happened with the major MMORPGs:
- Alongside the new patch, WoW is also discussing the level booster. It now brings a character directly to max level 60 instead of level 50.
- The publisher behind Guild Wars 2 has published its quarterly figures. The MMORPG is doing better than it has since 2018 without releasing a single major patch. Additionally, a new area from End of Dragons was introduced.
- Final Fantasy XIV is still close to the release of Endwalker. We’ll let you know if it’s still worth starting now.

What happened with the smaller MMORPGs:
- Lord of the Rings Online has released the new expansion “Fate of Gundabad”.
- The medieval MMORPG Gloria Victis is free to play on Steam until November 15.

- Albion Online has introduced a new update with revamped hideouts and power cores (Albiononline).
- Blade & Soul has released a new update with new and challenging dungeons (via Blade&Soul).
- Swords of Legends will release a new update on November 18 that reworks currencies and introduces new tokens (via Gameforge).
- Tree of Savior received a new class and teased a rework (via MassivelyOP).
- Lost Ark will receive an animated series next week (via YouTube).
What happened with the MMORPGs in development:
- In November, a completely new MMORPG resembling Avatar, the Lord of the Elements will be released.
- The head of Profane, a sandbox MMORPG, claims that WoW is not an RPG.
- With Broken Ranks, a new game will come in January that we introduced to you.
