The developers of New World announced an update for November 16 in a forum post. However, this is a hotfix and not the major November patch. We will reveal what happened.
What is this update about? Today’s patch is a hotfix. It mainly addresses two issues:
- Firstly, a bug that caused players to get stuck in a movement ability is being fixed
- Secondly, the coin transfers will be reactivated. They were suspended for nearly 1.5 days due to an item duplication issue. However, the return comes with a limitation: house decorations are temporarily not tradable.

In addition, Community Manager Tosch announced that there will be compensation for the companies whose settlements were downgraded due to the disabled coin transfer. He said specifically:

Housing changes: In the forum, Community Manager Luxendra from New World explains what has changed with housing decorations.
Players can now:
- Disassemble housing decorations
- Store housing decorations by picking up the furniture piece after placing it
- Buy housing decorations with an existing buy order at the trading post
What players cannot do:
- Cannot place new buy orders at the trading post for acquiring housing decorations
- Trade housing decorations with other players
- Directly place housing decorations in storage
- Drop housing decorations on the ground
- Activate the building mode for housing
When was the update released? The update was deployed on November 16 around 11:00 PM.
How long did the maintenance last? This has not been disclosed yet. However, since it was a relatively small hotfix, the servers were down only briefly. In the meantime, you can play again. Now, let’s continue with the original announcement:
The update is not the major November patch
Today’s update is therefore just a small hotfix and not the major November patch. It is expected to arrive on Wednesday or Thursday morning. A specific date has not yet been confirmed, but it is certain that it will be released this week.
