Today, December 1, 2021, the new Patch 1.1.1 is released in New World. It primarily brings bug fixes and reduces the number of drops of particles from elemental enemies. Additionally, the update comes with maintenance work. We at MeinMMO summarize the patch notes and everything about the server down.
Update 10:50 AM: The maintenance has been completed and the servers are back online even a few minutes earlier.
What are the highlights of the update? Patch 1.1.1 is a rather small update and does not bring any new content. Instead, it addresses some issues:
- Elemental enemies inadvertently dropped too many elemental particles. The amount has been reduced and the particles can no longer be obtained from defeating elemental enemies.
- Players who lost their harvesting gear due to Patch 1.1 will now receive chests containing the lost set.
- Trading, moving, and disassembling furniture is now possible again.
- The experience points for the Jewelcrafting profession have been increased because there was an error after Patch 1.1.
- Issues with the new weapon Void Gauntlet have been fixed.
- Improvements have been made to the server and preparations for server mergers have been made.
When will Patch 1.1.1 be released? The new update will be released today at 8:00 AM CET.
Along with the update, the servers will undergo maintenance. This is expected to last 3 hours, until 11:00 AM.
If there are any extensions to the server down, we will keep you updated in this news.
New World Patch 1.1.1 – The complete patch notes
Particles from elemental enemies
- A bug has been fixed that caused elemental enemies to drop a large amount of particles.
- We have also removed elemental particles as a reward for collecting elemental creatures and reduced the quantity of other resources obtained from them. This is a reaction to their number in the world and how often they respawn. Originally, these creatures were intended to be challenging and rare encounters in the world. However, in practice, they were less dangerous and more frequent than planned, leading to them providing too many resources compared to primary sources like elemental plants and stones.
Missing gardener equipment
A bug was introduced in the last update that classified all tiers of gardener harvesting equipment in the game as upcoming content and inadvertently removed them from the game. The developers apologize for this error, which resulted in you losing items you rightfully earned. If you were affected and lost part of the harvesting worker equipment, you should have an additional reward chest in your inventory after this update.
It contains a full set of gardener equipment at the highest rank you have personally achieved for a piece of the harvesting worker set. The items also have the maximum gear score for this rank and can be equipped at any level to ensure you can safely equip them. They are marked as “Bind On Equip” like the other parts of the harvesting worker equipment that you can normally find. When you open the chest, you will find 5 items:
- Harvesting Worker Hat
- Harvesting Worker Shirt
- Harvesting Worker Gloves
- Harvesting Worker Pants
- Harvesting Worker Shoes
Housing
- Trading, moving, and disassembling furniture/housing items is possible again.
Crafting
- A bug has been fixed that caused crafting plans for Jewelcrafting to not provide enough XP for trade skills.
- Recently, the developers had reduced the amount of trade skill XP earned by crafting items of a lower rank when players reach a new base rank in a skill. For example, players who unlock steel plans earn less for crafting iron plans. This was intended to place a stronger emphasis on crafting higher-tier items and value higher-tier materials during the progression in trade skills. The developers aim to reward players for crafting higher-tier items as they progress in individual trade skills. Prior to this change, according to Amazon Game Studios, players were spending too much time crafting lower-tier items instead of enhancing their trade skills by crafting items they actually needed at their current rank.
Trading
- A bug has been fixed that prevented players from filling buy orders from local storage sheds.
Server
- Technical preparations for server mergers
- Improvements in performance during wars
General bug fixes
- Void Gauntlet: Fixed a bug where the cooldown for “Empty” did not start when players swapped weapons at the start of the ability
- Void Gauntlet: Fixed a bug where status effects from consumables were removed by “Empty”
- Fixed a bug where Jewelcrafting did not yield the correct amount of XP for higher tier crafting
- Fixed a bug where players could not earn the Lumberjack achievement
