New World brings back the killer rabbits – guaranteed loot that you needed luck for beforehand

New World brings back the annual Easter event “The Revenge of the Rabbits”, where you can earn gypsum, storage space in your own house, and a new item for more luck in the game. This year, the drop chances have been adjusted so that you have a guarantee for each item.

What is behind the rabbit event? From April 12th to April 25th, the Easter event will be active. It revolves around rabbits that have been corrupted by Azoth and have become stronger as a result. They are located in all areas and can usually be dispatched with a single attack. You can find all the important spawn points here:

New World: Where to find rabbits?

Just like last year, you can find items for higher drop chances, a chest with 1050 storage space in your own house, and gypsum from the rabbits. Additionally, there is a new skin for the headpiece. However, this year, there is a guaranteed drop when you kill enough rabbits.

What do the drop chances look like?

• The diamond gypsum has a drop probability of 66%. You can find a maximum of 6 gypsum per day.
• The corrupted rabbit’s paw has a drop probability of 80% and you can find a maximum of 5 per day.
• The corrupted rabbit mask is the new head skin and has a drop probability of 0.5%. However, you will receive the mask guaranteed after you kill 200 rabbits. Here you can only get one mask during the entire event.
• The corrupted rabbit’s storage chest is the grand prize of the event. The drop probability is only 0.25%. However, after 400 killed rabbits, you will receive the chest guaranteed. Here, you can only get one per event.

The daily rewards are reset at 5:00 AM German time.

Is the event worth it? Sort of. Those who still need to upgrade their equipment should farm the 6 gypsum daily to either gain competency or further shadow shards. The chest is also a useful addition to your own house, which is definitely worth it.

However, aside from that, it is just a small fun event that doesn’t require too much engagement.
