From October 22, 2024, to November 5, 2024, the first event of New World Aeternum: the Night Veil Time, takes place. MeinMMO summarizes what activities and rewards await you.
What do I need to know about the Night Veil Time? The Halloween event of New World will start this year on October 22, 2024, and will run until November 5, 2024. Planned activities include banishing the shadowy demon back into darkness, collecting treats, and indulging in new costumes.
What costumes are available? You can obtain costumes during the event at major attractions in the city and from Baalphazu. Here is the complete selection:

The main activities of the Night Veil Time
What’s behind Trick or Treat? Once you have put on your costume, look for treat baskets in every city. These contain, with a 10 percent chance, the so-called Baalphazu armor pieces, 2 Night Veil tokens (3 times daily), and sweets. These are time-limited and come in 4 different flavors.
Items marked with daily limits reset at 5:00 AM (local time). For example, if you grab your third set of Night Veil tokens from treat baskets at 4:58 AM, you can earn more at 5:01 AM.
What about this Baalphazu? For this level 66 world boss, you should team up with other players to take down Baalphazu five times daily for armor pieces or three times daily for costumes. He also drops secret items.
Bring the secret items to Salvatore, the madman standing by the cauldrons in the cities of Aeternum. This way, you complete the associated quests and receive a Night Veil Time crate containing:
- 5 Night Veil tokens
- 2 random Night Veil weapon schematics
- Access to the Night Veil Guardian section in the event shop
For additional secret items, there is a Night Veil cauldron crate for each. In these, you will find:
- 7–13 Night Veil tokens
- 1 random Night Veil weapon schematic
- Coin pouch (3 times daily)
- 1 white plaster
What do I do with the Night Veil tokens? Bring these to the event shop to purchase event-specific rewards. There you will find numerous armor skins, as well as emotes, furniture, tent skins, and much more.
