In Fortnite, new weapons are occasionally forged that contribute to refreshing the gameplay. Leakers have now made an interesting find that presents a new weapon. We at MeinMMO show you all the details.
What kind of weapon is it? Leakers in Fortnite found a weapon model in the game’s data. This weapon is a throwing axe that resembles that of a Viking. This axe is said to be a throwable item and can likely be thrown at any conceivable target.
In appearance, the weapon is curved and adorned with stickers from the Fortnite world. The handle is made of wood and is wrapped with a leather strap at the grip area. Additionally, the axe has a sore muscle pendant and its blade is tinted light blue.
The throwing axe could suit Christmas
Fortnite officially announced that Chapter 2 is coming to an end. Players should prepare for the live event that will start soon. Coinciding with the end of Chapter 2, Chapter 3 will start in winter, and fitting for the winter event.
In terms of appearance, this weapon would fit the winter conditions. This axe would be the 19th item belonging to the category of throwing weapons.
What can the axe do? That is still unknown. The only certain information about the weapon is its appearance and the fact that it is indeed a weapon. However, some cool features are possible, such as:
- Target tracking when thrown
- Chained damage (hits nearby enemies in succession)
- Explosion upon impact
- Area damage in the form of a shockwave
- The axe can split into several smaller axes when thrown
- A feature that allows you to recall the axe after throwing it
Could Vikings be coming? This thought cannot be entirely ruled out. Vikings have also been present in Fortnite in the form of skins. Since Chapter 3 will start in winter and Vikings would fit well with this setting of snow and ice, more skins or even multiple Viking weapons are quite possible.
Unfortunately, this is only speculation, and we will learn more when Chapter 3 is ready for download.
