On Steam, the alpha test for a new multiplayer game in the Warhammer universe is currently underway, where you compete against each other with armed vehicles.
What kind of game is this? With “Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks” (PC), the Canadian development studio Caged Element Inc. is releasing a racing game in the Warhammer universe, reminiscent of the concept of Crossout.
You throw yourselves into a map with seven different vehicles that visually resemble the post-apocalyptic vehicles from Mad Max, battling for victory. You use various weapons to destroy your opponents’ vehicles.
Your goal is to collect as many points as possible by destroying vehicles from the opposing team. To do this, you can capture different areas to earn more points for your kills. The team with the most points at the end wins.
The playable vehicles are also divided into three classes, each bringing different play styles. Besides the so-called “Killers”, there will also be a classic support and tank class.
Currently, an alpha test for Speed Freeks is taking place on Steam, where up to 16 players can compete in multiplayer. You can see the trailer for the playtest here:
