A new gameplay video on Anthem focuses on the Javelin Interceptor. The agile suit represents a kind of assassin in the shooter, relying on speed and a touch of poison.
What is the Interceptor? The Interceptor is the class in Anthem that particularly emphasizes speed and agility. It is best compared to an assassin, as it dives into close combat repeatedly, but just as quickly disappears again. It attacks from ambush and evades its enemies’ attacks, which is also reflected in its abilities.
This is what the Interceptor can do: Players should not only enjoy the speed of the Interceptor, as the entire class is designed around it. Its shields regenerate faster the faster the Interceptor moves.
For this, the agile class has several skills that other Javelins do not have: to jump quickly from enemy to enemy, elegantly dodge, and regenerate its shields, the Interceptor can perform a triple jump, a triple dash, and a double roll.
Its attacks are entirely tailored to its job as an assassin: The Interceptor neutralizes individual enemies with the devastating melee attacks of its dual daggers. In addition, it can weaken larger targets with status effects, such as poison or ice.

How to Play the Interceptor
To shed light on the gameplay of the Interceptor, various abilities and builds were presented in the video, highlighting the strengths of the class: the melee.
These are the strengths: With high mobility and the fastest base melee speed of all Javelins, the Interceptor is simply made for a melee build. Keep your enemies at a distance, only to launch a devastating melee attack at the right moment!
The video showcases the Cryo-Glaive ability, where the Interceptor throws an ice knife that freezes enemies. It utilizes Tempest-Strike, triggering a combo that creates an ice aura.
Another ability is Venom-Spray, which poisons nearby enemies. This negative status effect causes enemies to take additional damage from all sources.
This is the ultimate ability of the Interceptor: The ultimate ability of the Interceptor is called Assassin’s Blades. With this skill, the class transforms into an unstoppable whirlwind, slicing through the enemy hordes with its two blades. The Interceptor deals high damage during its ultimate and is invulnerable for its entire duration.
