The developers of the upcoming hack & slash Warhammer: Chaosbane have shown in a small making-off how the monsters of the game come to life. They also provided a brief outlook on some of the enemies and their abilities.
This can be seen in the video: The studio EKO Software has shown some comments from the developers and designers in the new video about the bestiary of the Diablo alternative Chaosbane, where they talked about their work.
In this context, the focus was especially on the enemies, the Chaos gods, and their minions. Since the world of Warhammer offers so many possibilities to incorporate enemies, they have now limited themselves to these specific foes to avoid overwhelming players. Additionally, they aimed to create unique opponents that fit into the world.
The video also shows short clips of the development of the enemies, both as raw models and as finished foes with unique abilities integrated into the game.
The following enemies were showcased: So far, from the two betas and some gameplay scenes, it is only known that followers of the Plague God Nurgle and his demons can be encountered. However, it seems that all other Chaos gods will also have servants like:
- Tzeentch
- Slaanesh
- and Khorne
The video showcased the small Nurglings that stack up into true “demon piles,” and the pink Horrors of Tzeentch. These demons often appear in groups and have the ability to split into several smaller demons upon death.

In addition, larger enemies have already been shown. The Chaos Spawn is already a well-known enemy from Warhammer: Vermintide 2, where it appears as a particularly annoying elite foe. The Spawn explodes after its death with some delay and can take unsuspecting heroes with it to their demise.
Furthermore, greater demons, the elite of the Chaos gods, were seen in two instances. Both Nurgle’s “Great Unclean One” and Khorne’s “Bloodthirster.” However, we do not yet know what they are capable of.

When is Warhammer: Chaosbane released? Warhammer: Chaosbane will be released on June 4th for PC, Xbox One, and PS4. Those who pre-order the Digital Deluxe Edition or Magnus Edition digitally can even play 4 days earlier. You can pre-order on the official site of Chaosbane.
