In Harry Potter: Wizards Unite the update 2.2.0 is ready for you. There are changes to the Ministry ID, but players are waiting for Adventure Sync.
The contents of the new update: The update is already available for download in the Google Store. It is about 65 MB on Android. In the patch notes, the developers write what changes for you.
- Ministry ID: Photos can be loaded from your phone’s gallery and decorated with stickers, labels, and frames – there is also a new menu for this
- Portkey: With 10KM Portmanteaus, you unlock the Honey Pot experience
- Register: There are 4 new encounters. A new page in the register for “Magical Games and Sports” has been announced.
Bug fixes: Some bug fixes are included in the new update. Now, experience points should be credited to you as planned when you play challenges with friends.
Also, the music for Portkeys should no longer play if you have disabled it in the settings.
These changes were discovered by players themselves: Some changes were not officially announced in the update. On Reddit, player virodoran writes about changes he has found:
- The collectible item Happy Toilet has visually changed
- The Ministry ID appears larger on the map screen
- The animation for masterful spells has been slightly altered and is now displayed every time
- A new animation now lights up in the experience point display for collectible items
- The interface for daily tasks has changed slightly. The completed tasks now appear at the top.
Still no Adventure Sync
What are players waiting for? Since the launch of Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, players have been missing a feature they consider important. Adventure Sync. With this feature, the steps you take are counted even when the app is closed. This then counts towards your progress in Wizards Unite.
Pokémon GO, the predecessor of Wizards Unite from Niantic, already has the feature. Therefore, players know how convenient it is to have the kilometer progress counted, even when the game is closed.
On Reddit, a player asks under the update announcement: “Adventure Sync when?!” Also on Twitter, the responses to the update are heavily focused on this topic. It is clear that players are becoming impatient:
There is also a problem with the Auror talent “Dancing with Dummies”. The talent does not seem to be functioning as planned. Players are calling for the developers’ attention to fix the problem.
