In Pokémon GO, there is a lot of trouble with the friendship list right now. It is completely buggy and many trainers are upset about it.
Here’s the situation with the friendship list: With the latest update in Pokémon GO, the list with your friends has become quite buggy. You can no longer sort it properly and it keeps jumping back to the top.
For many trainers, this is a reason to interact with this feature very little right now. After all, it takes significantly longer to get rid of all your gifts.
The friendship list causes a lot of stress
This does not work properly anymore: With the latest update, the following errors crept into the friendship list:
- The list always jumps to the top when you click on a trainer, and you then have to scroll all the way back down.
- When you sort by friends who sent you a gift, not all friends are displayed correctly.
Why are these errors suddenly occurring? Niantic has changed something with the last update regarding the friendship list. Data miners found the possibility to sort their friends using a search command. For example, you should be able to display all friends with whom interaction is possible.
This adjustment is not live yet, but already included in the code of Pokémon GO. It seems that the bug, which causes these errors, has crept in there.
How are trainers reacting to this? Many players are upset about these bugs. There are even trainers who say they are hardly sending and opening gifts right now because it takes too long.
Other trainers also do not have a good opinion of Niantic. For instance, user synbios16 wrote on reddit: “0 steps forward and 2 steps back.”
What does this mean now for the trainers? You need to plan significantly more time when opening and sending gifts. The more friends you have on the list, the longer it takes. After all, you have to scroll all the way down each time to reach the lower friends.
Instead, you can focus more on the current Johto event which brings you new shinies, quests, and raid bosses.
