The new Flashpoint update in ARC Raiders brought some news and improvements that are well received by players. Your friend Scrappy also received a buff that surprises players with heavy loot.
What kind of buff is that? In addition to some “Quality of Life” improvements like a revamped crafting system and a chaotic-fun event, the rooster Scrappy also received a new skill: When fed with certain food, he prioritizes corresponding resources that he will gift you upon your return from the surface.
Some players have already noticed that the extra food seems to have pleased their rooster so much that they were suddenly surprised with food rewards that were in some cases heavier than the loot they brought back themselves. This was also the case for the raider and Reddit user Possible_News_7607, who suddenly received a Matriarch reactor from Scrappy:

How does Scrappy get these legendary items? To answer the question from the community’s perspective: Scrappy has ascended to the most powerful raider in the game since the update, personally taking down ARCs to provide you with their most valuable parts.

The players who were gifted with the valuable items from the ARCs either fed Scrappy apricots or the fruit mix. These ensure that Scrappy goes on the hunt for materials and items to craft weapons.
Besides Scrappy’s buff, players especially enjoyed the chaos of the new event.
