New Feature – ProSnap Deluxe Camera: With the new patch 8.5, Bethesda implements a new camera intended to enhance the photo mode of Fallout 76, which was already announced in the roadmap. The camera is designed to function via snapshots, which can also be taken during combat without having to switch to photo mode.
The camera itself can be equipped and modified like a weapon. By “aiming,” a subject can be selected and by “shooting,” a photo can be taken. The camera uses films as “ammunition,” which you can create at crafting stations.
To obtain the camera, you must retrieve a broken camera from dead tourists in Appalachia. You will then receive the quest “Bucket List” and can subsequently complete challenges related to the camera.

New Shop Item – Repair Kit: Another change is the new Repair Kits in Fallout 76. These Repair Kits are intended to repair equipment instantly without using materials. They come in two versions:
- Basic Repair Kit: Repairs an equipment item to 100% durability. Available for purchase for 50 atoms (1 piece) or 250 atoms (6 pieces) in the Atom Shop.
- Advanced Repair Kit: Repairs an equipment item to 150% durability. Not available for purchase, can only be found as a rare drop.

The Repair Kits have caused a stir beforehand, as some fans considered the items to be pay-to-win content. Bethesda promised that the Atom Shop would only contain items that wouldn’t provide competitive advantages.
Therefore, Bethesda is now stating in the official patch notes that fan criticism has been heard. Currently, they see the kits as “a pleasant option.” Should the Repair Kits prove to be advantageous, Bethesda will adjust them to remove those advantages.

In addition to the highlights, there are some balance adjustments and bug fixes. You can find the complete patch notes on the official website of Fallout 76.
