Diablo 4 is about to start Season 2 with a new narrative, but before you can slay vampires, Blizzard reveals upcoming changes that could bring fresh air to the “builds”.
What can players look forward to? Diablo 4 celebrates the launch of Season 2 on October 17. The Season of Blood is said to be the new adventure and throws you into the fight against bloodthirsty vampires. Blizzard has already summarized the most important things (via x.com), which you can expect soon. These include the following options:
- Defeat the vampire boss “Lord Zir”
- New cosmetic items
- Vampire powers that strengthen you
- Become a vampire yourself
- New dungeons and world events
- 5 new endgame bosses
- New paragon glyphs, uniques, and legendary powers
With Season 1, many fans complained about the build variety. Everyone played with almost the same builds and only a handful of hearts from the season mechanics were powerful enough to be noticed. This could change with Season 2.

Weak classes and little variety
What were fans struggling with? Season 1 was not only a disaster in terms of content but also in terms of adjustments and innovations. The scope was too little, the changes to the classes too severe, and it generally offered far too little variety to keep players entertained for long periods.
When one was active in the season, they built one of the known endgame builds, farmed several rounds of nightmare dungeons, and then disappeared again into other games.
However, with Season 2, that could change, especially regarding the builds, as Blizzard is already promising new paragon glyphs, uniques, and legendary items. More detailed information will probably only be released in the next developer stream, but if the changes are significant, many weak builds could shine in a new light and even new builds could emerge.

Even the well-known expert Wudijo reacted with excitement to this announcement. According to him, new possibilities could arise to make even bad builds stronger and perform in the endgame. It remains to be seen how much the glyphs have been modified and whether Blizzard adjusts the drop rate of the uniques.
