In the online shooter Apex Legends, a new update has arrived today, Monday, May 20. Developer Respawn has revealed early on what will change in the patch. Thus, the time of Gibraltar as a transportable gas trap or as the hopping Gibraltoad comes to an end. Let’s look at the patch notes.

Patch Notes for the Apex Legends Update on PC, PS4, Xbox One
The most notable change: They eliminate the bug that allowed players to attach objects to Gibraltar’s shield. People had attached all sorts of things to the hero with the bug and created crazy combos. The most famous combo was to attach Caustic’s gas traps to Gibraltar’s shield and turn him into a walking plague spreader.
This will no longer be possible with the patch. Respawn says it was funny, but it wasn’t intended. However, the shield will deflect Arc Stars grenades.
The most important change: Respawn promises changes to hit detection for shots, as previously announced. The update brings some changes to how bullet damage is calculated behind the scenes.

Who does the patch help the most? On PC, players with Intel CPUs complain that Apex Legends crashes frequently. Respawn has identified the most common cause of PC crashes and is discussing it with Intel.
Meanwhile, they have introduced a workaround in the patch to circumvent the crash.
From Respawn’s perspective, this is the main point: The biggest and most important part of the patch notes revolves around numerous audio and sound improvements. Respawn is working hard on this.
Players had reported that sound cuts out or is distorted – Respawn has worked on the code of Apex Legends to address these issues. They have also adjusted some sounds to be quieter (character selection screen) or louder (victory music).

How are players reacting?: The most upvoted comment on reddit is “RIP Gibraltoad.” This refers to a video where a Gibraltar grabbed an Octane jump pad and jumped around like a frog (via reddit). This went viral in mid-April.
