In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Battle Royale Warzone, a playlist update surprisingly went live last night. The most popular playlists and chaos have returned to the rotation. As a highlight, Shipment 24/7 is back.
What came with the small patch? Early in the morning, on July 2nd, at 5 AM German time, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare & Warzone released a small patch. Here is the announcement from Infinity Ward on Twitter:
The changes are minor but are likely to be well received, especially by traditional multiplayer players. Instead of the mixed playlist of the mini-maps “Shoot House” and “Shipment”, both maps get their own 24/7 modes. This is already the third 24/7 mode currently active.
Additionally, you now see a small fireworks display in the background of the Warzone & MW lobby. This is likely a hint at the upcoming July 4th, the USA’s Independence Day, which is celebrated there with rockets and colorful explosions.
Small playlist update on July 02 brings three 24/7 modes
What do the playlists look like now? In Warzone, the changes are limited to this fireworks display; the playlist remains as it is for now. Here are all currently available modes:
Modern Warfare
- Ground War – Massive battles on large maps
- Gunfight Blueprints – 3v3 with random blueprint weapons
- Team Defender – A type of “Capture the Flag”
- Cheshire Park 24/7 – New map, all day
- Shipment 24/7 – Full throttle on the mini-map in 5v5
- Shoot House 24/7 – Sometimes as a chaos mode in 8v8
Warzone
- BR-3
- BR-2
- BR-Solo
- BR 200 4
- Payload: Blood Money
What do the players say? This small playlist upgrade before the weekend is well received. There are hardly any negative comments under the tweet. The most popular comment from @FaZeJev has almost 3,500 likes – “GOD TIER PLAYLIST. THANK YOU!”. CoD players just want that one thing.
However, there is a catch for some players. “Shoot House 24/7” did not come as a hardcore playlist, unlike the other two full-speed modes.

What else is going on with CoD? On Tuesday, June 30, the big “Season 4 Reloaded” update came out, bringing new content and many adjustments:
- New multiplayer map
- New explosive sniper rifle
- Battle Royale with 200 players
- Adjustments to weapon balance (Grau nerf)
Thus, the developers maintain the content pace nine months after the release at the level they have followed since the start of Season 1 in early December 2019. According to the in-game timer from the Battle Pass, Season 4 runs until August 3rd, and a Juggernaut mode is still planned for Warzone. Perhaps we will soon see one of the crazy changes that are speculated for the BR map Verdansk due to leaks.
