Update 0:21 AM: Bungie has now announced that all player accounts in Destiny 2 will be reset to the status of Tuesday 5:30 PM German time:
- Quests or other progress completed between 5:30 PM and 7 PM must be repeated by Guardians.
- The same applies to any possible purchases
- Silver spent during that time will be restored
Update 11:17 PM: Bungie now has a fix for the problem and will reset all accounts to the state they were in before the patch. Destiny will remain “offline for several hours” until Bungie can deploy the fix.
Update 10:17 PM: Bungie is testing other solutions to return the missing currencies and materials to players. Destiny 2 remains offline until the issues are resolved. The next new info is expected around 11 PM German time.

What happened? In the new update 2.7.1 / 1.46, there was a major bug in Destiny 2 that causes players to lose many items. They report that they are missing rare, expensive, and hard-to-obtain items like:
