The developers of New World are currently releasing a series of trailers that explain more about the mysterious world and story of the MMO. The second part presents the dangers in slow motion.
What kind of video is this? In Legends of New World: Chapter 2, the stranded heroes fight against creepy monsters that call the island of Aeternum their home.
The entire video is very dark, and the battles run in slow motion, making them somehow even more threatening.
Coupled with the deep voice giving background to the shown content and the music, it creates a very dark and oppressive atmosphere.
The trailer makes it clear: In New World, things are dark and dangerous. Players must face great dangers and powerful monsters.
What dangers await in the game? Just last week, a video was shown that addresses the story of the Lost. These are creatures trapped somewhere between the world of the living and the dead.You can encounter them already in the first dungeon.
Also visible in the trailer are the “Ancients”, creatures that have inhabited the island of Aeternum for thousands of years.
Two other enemy factions are the Angry Earth, creatures of nature, and the Corrupted. The latter are known from many trailers and you encounter them directly at the start of the game. They are humans, animals, or other beings that have been corrupted by the dangerous substance Azoth.
Play New World yourself: If you want to try out the new MMO yourself, you can do so from September 9 to 13. The open beta for New World is running there, which you can participate in via Steam.
Just a few weeks later, on September 28, the release will take place.
