The new Content Dark Agartha starts on November 14 in the free-to-play MMORPG Secret World: Legends. So far, the developer Funcom has provided only a few details about the update and is trying to keep it as mysterious as possible.
What is Agartha? Agartha is an area within the world of Secret World: Legends.
It is a kind of gigantic tree located inside our Earth, allowing fast travel between different countries and continents. Like many other features in Secret World, Agartha was also inspired by a conspiracy theory, namely the hollow Earth theory.
What does the update bring? Not much is known about what exactly the content of the “Dark Agartha” update will be. The tweet that announced the update stated that a new unexplored path has opened in Agartha. The question is not where it leads, but to which time.
Agartha is one of the safest areas in Secret World. The decay that can be observed in the trailer can only mean that something terribly bad has happened there.
The fans of the MMORPG have formed a theory based on the trailer, which states that it is a dark alternate future. This occurs when players fail to fight the evil in the world or lose the battle.
