As part of Tudum, a fan event of Netflix’s official companion website, a new trailer for the 3rd season of The Witcher was shown. And this trailer ensures that we will miss Henry as Geralt even more.
On June 29, the third season of The Witcher, the popular series about the witcher Geralt, will finally be released. Tudum used this opportunity to show a new clip. But that’s not all. At the fan event, which was streamed live from São Paulo, Brazil, on June 17, Henry Cavill took the stage.
What does the new trailer show? The almost 3-minute video is packed with action. We see a Ciri who seems to be surprised in an ambush but knows how to defend herself. Yennefer also makes an appearance, using her magical abilities.
And of course, we see our favorite witcher Geralt stepping in to the ambush. Fights follow, as we are used to from the previous seasons – action-packed, dynamic, and gripping. Geralt runs towards the camera, ending the video.
What remains for us is a small cliffhanger and the immense anticipation for the third season. The last one with Henry Cavill.

What happened at the Tudum event? Even when the familiar melody from The Witcher played, the audience went wild. Henry took the stage, together with Anya Chalotra (Yennefer), Freya Allan (Ciri), and Joey Batey (Jaskier).

Before the new trailer was shown, Henry Cavill addressed the audience, his viewers, and his team with an emotional speech:

“Without Henry no Witcher”
Why is Henry Cavill leaving? The third season will be the last one in which we will see Henry as Geralt. Henry Cavill wanted to stay true to the original story as a fan of The Witcher games, which apparently was not implemented so well.
The comments on the last trailer, which can be found on the Netflix account on YouTube, showed that fans are disappointed about Henry Cavill’s departure as Geralt. And that hasn’t changed, on the contrary.
How are fans reacting to the new trailer? Similar to the last trailer. Fans are writing that they will miss Henry as the Witcher.

“Oh man, when I see this, I will really miss Henry Cavill…” writes Zero G. “The last season with Henry Cavill. What a shame. He was probably the only one there who tried to do justice to the original work and possibly the games,” writes MaugriM.
The third season of The Witcher will be available on Netflix starting June 29. In the fourth season, Liam Hemsworth will take on the role of the witcher Geralt.
