New survival game launches in June on Steam – Why it’s worth playing the demo now

Soulmask is a new survival game on Steam, featuring masks with various abilities as a main feature. The game will enter Early Access in June, but it is still worth playing the demo right now.

What kind of game is this? Soulmask is a new survival game on Steam, developed by CampFire Studio. As a trailer recently announced, the game is set to enter Early Access on June 18, 2024.

With large servers for dozens of players, Soulmask can even be classified as a real MMO, according to the Steam page. You can expect a 64 km² large sandbox world.

In Soulmask, you can expect an “authentic survival experience.” This means you will have to face the struggle for survival in nature against hunger and thirst. In the game, you will encounter various dangerous creatures that you must confront in combat. You can look forward to an almost “souls-like” combat system, eight weapons, and 58 combat skills.

True to the name of the game, masks play a main feature in your struggle for survival. They can equip you with various, life-saving abilities.

A tribe of your own with roles and tasks

Weapon crafting and base building await you in classic survival fashion. In Soulmask, you can even build your own tribe, whose members can take on tasks and roles.

Why is it worth playing the demo now? Currently, you can play a free demo of Soulmask on Steam. It offers around 40 hours of gameplay, providing a pretty good insight into the game.

However, if you want to find out whether you want to start the Early Access version of Soulmask in June, you should hurry. The demo is only playable on Steam until May 15, 2024. After that, you will actually have to wait until June.

All players who have played the demo are said to receive an exclusive and limited skin for their mask in the full game. So checking out the free demo should definitely be worthwhile.
