In Fortnite the summer mood has broken out. In the new event “Summer Splash”, everything revolves around vacation vibes, beach, and sun.
This is the new event: The island in Fortnite has apparently quickly come to terms with the all-consuming flood, as summer has broken out. After the new update that brought the Flare Gun and hints at Captain America, the “Summer Splash 2020” event will run until the end of Season 3.
New Skins and Game Modes for the Summer
What does Summer Splash bring? The Summer Splash mainly comes with summery skins and game modes. Among other things, there will be outfits suitable for the beach. For example, the “Cozy Biter” – a shark costume that fits perfectly with the nasty predators on the map.
Additionally, there will be outfits like:
- Par Patrol
- Summer Drift
- Beach Bomber
But skins are not all that the Summer Splash brings.
New Limited Time Modes (LTMs): With the start of Season 3, the LTMs that kept you busy during the last agent season in the form of various operations have come to an end. Now, some classic LTMs are returning. These include:
- Fog of War (formerly known as: “Sneaky Silencer”)
- Close Quarters
- Out of the Vault
- Catch!
These are set to be expanded with new features for the Summer Splash. Additionally, upcoming updates will bring completely new LTMs.
Among them is a new version of Operation: Knockout. This mode is known from the Spy Game: You competed as a four-person team or duo in direct duels and fought your way through a tournament tree.
Moreover, the LTMs will be supplemented by a so-called “Let Them Bite” Royale and a “Game with Upgrades Driven by Eliminations” (via Epic), which will be shown in the coming weeks!
The Battle Royale mode is not the only area of Fortnite with news. “Save the World” has also seen changes: It has now left Early Access but will not be free – many players had actually expected exactly that.
