In the strategy game World Turtles, the civilization of the so-called Meeps flies through space on the back of a gigantic space turtle.
Your task is to help the Meeps save themselves and their giant turtle, and to assist them in expanding their civilization.

What does the gameplay in World Turtles look like? You accompany the Meeps on their journey through space and help them: Gather resources, build structures, and let the tribe continue to grow.
However, it is also important to stay in harmony with the environment and take care of the giant turtle. Additionally, you will explore the various regions of the flat world and cooperate with other tribes of Meeps.
Through technology trees, your small group continues to develop, so that in the end it becomes a self-sustaining large civilization.
What is behind the world concept of the game? The game is developed by solo developer Gideon. He addresses the parallels of his game with other well-known works in a Steam news post. Gideon explains that he is a big fan of the author Sir Terry Pratchett and the Discworld, and that is why he chose the setting of a space turtle (via Steam).
In Pratchett’s novels, the Discworld is the setting for several of his books. The flat world lies on the back of four elephants, which in turn stand on a gigantic turtle that flies through space.
The concept of a turtle swimming through the galaxy is even older and can be found in various mythologies.
