EA Sports brings fresh special cards to FIFA 20 once again after the TOTY, this time as part of the Headliners event. We reveal what the promo has to offer and what the Headliners team looks like.
EA announced the Headliners event via Twitter:
The event premiered in FIFA 19 and takes place for the second time in FUT 20.
What are Headliner cards? Headliner cards are dynamic special cards that improve like OTW cards as soon as the respective player makes it into a Team of the Week. Additionally, according to EA, only particularly standout players from the football first half of the season will make it into the Headliners team.
There is therefore great improvement potential in Headliner cards.
When does the event start? The event starts tonight, on Friday, January 17. As usual, it begins at 7 PM.
What the new Headliners event brings
What does the team look like? The first Headliners team features really strong cards. Especially Neymar (94), Lewandowski (93), and Salah (93) receive decent top cards.
Surprisingly, EA apparently plans to release several Headliner teams. However, when the second team will be released is still unknown.

How to get your Headliner cards
From packs: With a good portion of luck, Headliner cards can be found in the following packs:
- Gold Pack (5,000 coins)
- Premium Gold Pack (7,500 coins)
- or from other special packs
On the Transfer Market: If you definitely want a new Headliner card, you should buy it on the FUT Transfer Market. However, wait a few days after the cards are released and compare the prices.
Through Weekly Objectives and SBCs: Certain Headliner cards can also be unlocked via SBC and weekly objectives.
