In Call of Duty: Warzone there’s a new sniper rifle to earn – the Rytec AMR. MeinMMO shows you an explosive setup that can help you take down soldiers and vehicles in the battle royale.
What kind of sniper is the Rytec? The rifle was introduced as one of the highlights of the “Season 4 Reloaded” update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and has since been making waves in the battle royale Warzone.
The weapon is classified as a “sniper rifle”, but it plays more like a DMR and can be compared well to the Dragunov:
- Mobile sniper with relatively high ADS speed
- No one-shot kills with headshot hits against enemies with full armor
- Semi-automatic fire mode for a high rate of fire
For Warzone, the weapon would actually be quite unsuitable as a sniper, but there is a special attachment that changes everything: glorious explosive ammunition.

Update July 10 – After a nerf, you can no longer achieve one-shot kills with explosive ammunition in Warzone if the opponent has full armor. Here are the patch notes from the update on July 9.
Rytec AMR Rocket Setup for Maximum Damage and Fun
What does the crazy rocket setup look like? The attachment combo comes from the YouTuber “X sebtional”, who showcases gameplay of the Rytec AMR in an English YouTube video. He even earns a solo win with a skilled one-shot of the explosive sniper as his final kill. Here’s his setup:
- Muzzle: Rytec AMR Suppressor
- Barrel: FTAC Seven Straight
- Laser: Tactical Laser
- Scope: Variable Zoom Scope
- Ammunition: Magazine with 5 rounds of 25x59mm Explosive Rounds
What can you do with this? The most important feature of the rocket attachment is the upgrade of the weapon to a one-shot killer with headshot hits. The 3 other strong sniper rifles can do that, and for usable snipers in Warzone, this is a prerequisite.
However, the cannonballs come with a significant disadvantage – the projectiles fly very slowly towards the target and lose height quickly. Although the projectiles are not quite as sluggish as the arrows from the crossbow, there is still a noticeable difference compared to normal bullet speeds. The crossbow also has a crazy explosive setup in Warzone.
However, you do have rocket rounds that can take down vehicles. With a few hits, you can destroy buggies, rovers, and helicopters. This is not only useful but also pretty fun. “AddequatePCGaming” shows in his short clip how he takes out a helicopter with the “new rocket launcher”:
How strong is it compared to other sniper rifles? Due to the low bullet speed, you will need to aim at relatively short distances over the opponent to land good hits. To truly replace a sniper, the weapon requires some practice.
However, its ability to destroy vehicles makes the weapon really exciting. Rocket launchers are strong in Warzone and every team should have one in case pesky trucks go on a collision course or enemies fly by in a helicopter. However, a strong sniper rifle is often preferred in the loadout instead of an anti-vehicle tool.
With the Rytec, you can now have both, and it’s also a lot of fun.
