On Steam, the shooter “Delta Force Hawk Ops” has now entered an alpha test. The game is reminiscent of Battlefield, but has already surpassed EA’s flagship.
Which shooter is it about? Delta Force Hawk Ops is an upcoming free-to-play shooter that already reminds many players of Battlefield before its release. There are large maps, vehicles, PvP with up to 64 players, and destruction of buildings.
The game is divided into three different gameplay areas:
- A PvP multiplayer mode in the style of Battlefield
- An extraction mode like DMZ from CoD
- A campaign that allows you to reenact the events of the rescue mission “Black Hawk Down”
An alpha test for Delta Force Hawk Ops is currently running, for which you can register on the shooter’s website. The alpha test started on August 6. On the same day, the shooter already recorded 18,500 players (via SteamDB). Thus, Delta Force even outperformed the major genre competitor Battlefield 2042, whose peak in August was 15,000 players (via SteamDB).

What exactly makes the shooter special? Delta Force Hawk Ops is strongly reminiscent of Battlefield, especially in the large multiplayer PvP modes. Up to 64 players compete against each other in two teams of 32 players on expansive maps. They have various vehicles available to them, such as armored vehicles, boats, and helicopters.
Additionally, there is an extraction mode where you can collect resources and eliminate boss enemies solo or in squads of up to 3 players on a map. You have access to four classes with unique gear and equipment. Furthermore, you can customize your weapons individually and freely choose your attachments. The same applies to your armor and type of ammunition.
Thirdly, there should be a campaign in which you reenact the events of the rescue mission “Black Hawk Down” and can see scenes from the movie of the same name.

What do we know about the release? Nothing. So far, it is only known that Delta Force Hawk Ops is set to be released on Steam and Epic Games. We do not have an exact release date.
On Steam, it also says “Coming Soon” regarding the release. However, since an alpha test is currently running, the release will probably still be a while away. Until then, there might be at least beta tests to take a look at the shooter.
