BulletVille mixes features of major titles in the shooter genre. Now you can sign up for the beta and try out what the trailer is hyping about.
What kind of shooter is this? BulletVille is a new 3rd-person hero shooter, inspired by many other arena shooters. The developers make no secret of which titles they used for inspiration.

In the trailer, you can catch a first glimpse of how BulletVille will play and which unique characters will be available for selection in matches. It features unique hero abilities and many wall runs.
Which well-known shooters are included?
This is what the developers say: On the BulletVille website, they boast about big names that apparently played a role in the development.
They mix
- The fast shooter gameplay from games like Quake 3 Arena
- The versatile hero selection from games like Overwatch
- The character progression from games like Paladins
- The high mobility from 3rd-person games like Warframe and Infamous 2
- The vehicle combat from games like Borderlands 2 or Battlefield
- The sandbox freedom from games like Minecraft
In the trailer, you can see clear resemblances of the heroes to Overwatch. Angel with her wings has many similarities with the healer Mercy.
In general, the humor in the trailer resembles the crazy characters encountered in Borderlands.

These are the comments: Under the trailer on YouTube, positive comments are piling up. In just three days, the video has already been viewed over 250,000 times. Players are writing:
- “Borderlands meets Overwatch, but with parkour”
- “This is everything I’ve been looking for. Crazy characters with unique abilities. I love it!”
- “I saw the trailer here as an ad and the movement really got to me. I’m looking for cool movement mechanics like Titanfall 2 and I think this is it”
Other players also draw comparisons to Team Fortress 2 and Fortnite.

When does the beta run? A concrete date is not yet established. In the email, the team mentions that this will take place before the end of 2020.
