In a new role-playing game, you will experience fantasy races in an unusual setting. Because what initially resembles Baldur’s Gate 3 is a mix of fantasy and steampunk.
Which game is being referred to? New Arc Line is a classic role-playing game that was released on Steam on November 26, 2024. As in Baldur’s Gate 3, you create a character with a unique background and explore a fantasy world. Battles are also turn-based, and the outcomes of certain actions are determined by dice rolls.

Industrial Revolution in a Fantasy World
What is the game about? In search of a cure for your family, you travel to the city of New Arc. There, an industrial steampunk revolution is taking place: factories and machines shape the cityscape, and instead of dragons flying through the skies, there are zeppelins.
The technological progress brings prosperity but also replaces the old magical world of elves and dwarves. Throughout the story, you will decide for yourself which side you belong to and whose powers you want to use for yourself.
Whether with a silver tongue, nimble fingers, or brute strength: how you work your way up from the bottom is left to you. At least you are not alone in this, as you will find companions, friends, and even lovers in the city.
What does Early Access include? The version you get at this time is limited in scope. There are only two playable races and two classes. According to the developers on Steam, the current version includes only about a quarter of the main story and some side quests.
Currently, there are not many reviews for Early Access, but the few that exist are already 86% positive. Many players find that New Arc Line shines in world-building even now and shows great potential. In terms of scope, however, you are offered very little.
Who is the game worth it for? At this moment, New Arc Line is worth it if you want to support the developers during the Early Access phase. But also be prepared to have seen pretty much everything the game currently offers quite quickly.
