The MMORPG Lost Ark receives regular updates and is kept alive with new content. When this content arrives is usually announced by a roadmap. This content plan is expected to come out this week, yet the mood in the community is not good. We at MeinMMO summarize.
What is the situation? In the Lost Ark forum, community manager Roxx announced that the roadmap for upcoming content should be released this week. She responded to a query from the community.
Originally, the developers had planned to release the new roadmap for their MMORPG in May. However, that apparently did not work out, which has already caused an uproar in the game’s fan base.
The last roadmap for Lost Ark was released in mid-April and showed the content plan for April and May. Currently, it is unclear how exactly Lost Ark will proceed in June. It is also not yet known whether the upcoming roadmap will only cover two months again or reveal more.
What content can you expect? This is still hard to assess. A quick release of the Arcanist as a new class seems possible. She was originally announced for May in an outdated roadmap, but did not make it into the game. Perhaps the developers want to address this soon.
As for new classes, the Summoner could also find her way into the game. She was playable in the Lost Ark beta and was supposed to be available at launch but was replaced with the Sorceress. Before the release, Smilegate promised to bring the Summoner to us in 2022.
The Iron Man-like Scout is also one of the most popular classes in the community, and his release is also conceivable. Aside from classes, you can expect further bug fixes, new events, as well as new dungeons and raids.
The mood is low
Why is the community annoyed? Lost Ark has recently faced several issues. The game has been plagued by various bugs for several weeks. Some players cannot start certain dungeons, while others cannot progress in the story. There is also an annoying bug that prevents you from clicking, which is still in the game.
Furthermore, large numbers of bots have once again been roaming the world of Arkesia, flooding all level areas and zones. Many fans have therefore clung to the announcement of a new roadmap still in May and were now disappointed.
Shitstorm takes absurd proportions: The community manager Roxx has already had to respond to the collected comments in the forum. These have taken on an incomprehensible magnitude for large parts of the community. Nevertheless, some players are currently very loud in the forums and on reddit.
In response, Roxx explained that they intended to release the roadmap still in May, but it did not work out as things in a project can change. She further states:
Today is May 31 and we are no longer “before June”. Nevertheless, we will still publish the roadmap this week, which was the first thing I told the players this morning. Despite this, people are telling me that I should be fired for giving you updates when things change.
The post has since been deleted from the official forum. However, you can find a screenshot of it directly on the lost Ark reddit (via reddit).
