With Shadowkeep, Destiny 2 gets a new raid. There you will earn cool badges. However, you must complete some challenges to do so.
Where do the new raid infos come from? In the current “This Week at Bungie” post, the developers talk about the new raid. In the blog, Bungie reveals which badges Guardians will receive for completing the Shadowkeep raid.
What kind of raid is it and when does it start? You can dive into the new raid starting Saturday, October 5th. The Garden of Salvation, as the raid is called, takes place in the Black Garden – a world beyond space and time. The Black Garden should still be familiar to many Destiny 1 veterans. This time, new challenges await you there.
What cool emblems are there as rewards? For Guardians who take on the challenge of the raid, there will be two special emblems. The timing of the raid completion is important. Depending on when you master the raid, you will receive different emblems for it.
The badges for completing the raid
This is what the first emblem looks like: If you are among the players who manage to complete the raid within the first 24 hours after its launch and defeat the boss, you will receive a special emblem for this achievement:
This is the second emblem: All others will not go empty-handed and will also receive an emblem. You will receive this emblem when you complete the raid after the 24-hour period:

“World First” Competition with Extra Difficulty
What is special about the first 24 hours? A special challenge is activated during the first 24 hours. This makes it slightly harder to complete the raid.
On the first day of the raid, the contest mode will be activated. Similar conditions were previously seen in the World First competition for the Crown of Sorrow raid.
This is how the challenge affects the power level: In the first 24 hours of the raid, exceeding certain power level limits will no longer provide an advantage. In the first encounter, for example, you will not have an easier time if your power level is over 890. This is the limit for the first encounter. In the final encounter, the power limit will be at 920. Anything above that won’t help you.
This rule will be deactivated after the first 24 hours, and higher power levels will help you master the challenges of the raid. Therefore, it is worthwhile to grind before the raid to ensure you are as strong as possible.
You can read all information about soft caps at the power level and “unrestricted power” here.
What do players receive for the World First run? Also this time, the so-called World First race will take place. Bungie is closely monitoring which fireteam completes the raid first. In addition to the emblems shown above, those Guardians will receive the coveted “Garden of Salvation” raid belt. This is what it looks like:
This serves as an additional incentive to participate in the competition. It will therefore be exciting to see who defeats the boss first and can claim the title.
What do Guardians say about the badges: Some Guardians on reddit are not satisfied with the appearance of the first emblem. They wonder why it looks so bad and even demand that the emblems be replaced. Another Guardian, however, finds the second badge very good. The emblem reminds him of an old Atari game. The reactions in the Guardian community are mixed.
Will you dive into the raid within the first 24 hours? What do you think about the badges?
