Black Desert Online will soon have a new PvE mode called Blood Altar. This is a horde mode right up the alley of sandbox MMORPG players.
What is the new game mode? The Blood Altar is a new PvE game mode for 3 players. Players must defend the namesake Blood Altar against increasingly powerful waves of enemies. This goes through up to 10 rounds that become progressively harder.
After each round, a special boss appears as an additional challenge. To succeed here, you need to work closely together and utilize the strengths of your heroes optimally.
With the newly added item “Fragment of the Nightmare,” you can repeat lost rounds. You can produce this fragment through simple alchemy, and it costs 40 Black Energy Residue and 1 Memory Fragment.
Great loot and lots of fun at the Blood Altar
When can you play the mode? The Blood Altar is accessible to players starting from level 56.
What can you get? After completing a round, all participants receive the “Legacy of the Forgotten.” You can exchange this for gold bars, Black Stones, or Caphras Stones. Additionally, there is a chance of receiving an armor chest. This can contain various rare and powerful equipment.
When is the Blood Altar coming? The update with the new horde mode will be released on July 10, 2019.
What do the players say? On Reddit, players have already discussed the Blood Altar in the Korean version of Black Desert Online about a month ago. The new mode was well-received. There is even a belief that this version is much better than the original horde mode “Savage Rift”. Players are excited about the gameplay and the rewards:
